Terms of Service

StackFunds Ltd provides web tools that help you plan budgets, build buffers, and automate deposits to goal-based buckets. These terms form a binding agreement between you and StackFunds Ltd when you access the website, create an account, or use any feature. If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorised to accept these terms. You must review updates to these terms and your continued use of the service after updates becomes effective means you accept the changes.

You must be at least 18 years old to use StackFunds. When creating an account, provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. For team plans, you control who has access and must ensure your collaborators comply with these terms. We may suspend or require verification where we detect misuse, risk to users, or legal obligations.

StackFunds provides educational tools and automations to help organise money. We do not provide investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and we are not a broker or investment manager. Content on the site is for general education and may not be right for your situation. When we reference portfolios or asset mixes, they are examples only. You are responsible for your decisions and for complying with laws that apply to you. If you need personalised advice, speak with a qualified professional.

Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and features for each plan are listed on the Pricing page. Fees are billed in advance and renew automatically until canceled from settings. Taxes may apply. If we change pricing, we will notify you in advance and changes take effect on your next billing cycle. Except where required by law, fees are nonrefundable, but you can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of the period. Payments are processed by regulated partners and subject to their terms.

You agree not to misuse the service. Prohibited activities include unlawful conduct, infringing third-party rights, reverse engineering, attempting to access non-public areas, interfering with security or integrity, uploading malware, automated scraping without permission, or using the service to market deceptive or harmful products. You may not use the service for high-risk activities where failure could lead to injury or significant loss. We may suspend or remove content that violates this section.

You may submit data such as budgets, goals, notes, and feedback. You retain ownership of your content. You grant StackFunds a worldwide, nonexclusive licence to host, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service. You represent that you have rights to submit the content and that it does not violate law or these terms. We may remove or restrict content that breaches this agreement.

StackFunds, the StackFunds logo, product names, site design, and all related technology are owned by StackFunds Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights granted to you to use the service, we reserve all rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service or any part of it without written permission.

The service may integrate with third-party tools, such as payment processors, analytics, or account aggregation providers. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for those services and do not guarantee their availability. We share only the minimum necessary data to deliver integrations, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

You can stop using the service at any time and may cancel subscriptions from settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create security risks, or use the service unlawfully. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, but sections that by their nature should survive will continue, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackFunds disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error free. Educational content is general information and not tailored to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackFunds and its directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or savings, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to StackFunds for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty pounds if you use the free plan.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StackFunds and its affiliates from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except that either party may seek interim relief in any jurisdiction to protect its rights. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us to try to resolve the issue informally within thirty days.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in features, business practices, or legal requirements. When changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice by posting the updated terms and updating the effective date. Continued use of the service after updates take effect means you accept the revised terms.
